Etadol is a brand-name pharmaceutical with analgesic properties that includes tapentadol as its main active component. Tapendadol has been approved for medical use in the US, India, and other countries. Considering this substance acts as an agonist of the opioid receptor and blocks the reuptake of norepinephrine, it exhibits similar properties to other medications from the benzenoid group of substances, namely the ability to eliminate moderate to severe pain. Immediate release formula with 100 mg of tapentadol can provide effective protection against pain for approximately 4-6 hours.
Safety instructions
There are some adverse effects associated with use of Etadol, mostly similar to other opioid analgesics. In particular, patients can feel nausea, dizziness, fatigue, and sleepiness after taking Etadol. It has also been demonstrated to reduce blood pressure, as well as to lower the threshold for experiencing a seizure. Its abuse potential is lower than for other opioids, but utmost care should be taken not to cause dependency with longer use. This medication is not recommended to pregnant women, children, or people with a history of pancreatic problems or hypotension.
