Aspadol – Tapentadol
50, 100, 150, 200 mg
Product description
The active ingredient of this analgesic pharmaceutical agent is tapentadol, which is classified as an opioid from the benzenoid class. This is an effective treatment option for cases involving moderate to severe pain, especially after traumatic impact on muscles and bones, such as post-surgery or due to mechanical injury. It is also sometimes prescribed for diabetic neuropathy, and is believed to be well-suited for applications where day-round pain mitigation is required. It is taken orally and is fast-acting, while the dosage must be precisely controlled by a qualified medical professional. Aspadol is available in four different strengths, giving doctors sufficient treatment options for all cases.
Pharmacological properties
Tapendadol can be accurately described as an agonist of the opioid receptor, with a capacity to prevent reuptake of the norepinephrine neurotransmitter. Unlike many other opioid pain medications, it has a relatively weak impact on serotonin regulation, which reduces its abuse potential. It is distinguished by its tendency to reach peak plasma concentration after little more than 30 minutes and to degrade without leaving any active metabolites. When taken orally, it has bioavailability of around 32% and protein binding ability of 20%.
Safety instructions
Extreme caution is recommended with all opioid analgesics, including products based on tapentadol. Most patients will experience mild side effects such as vomiting, itchiness, sleepiness, or dry mouth. Aspadol is not recommended to people suffering from liver problems, chronic pancreatitis, head trauma, low blood pressure and some other conditions. Tapentadol is also known to reduce the threshold for seizures and shouldn’t be combined with other pharmaceuticals that have a similar effect.
